Brown-eyed Helen Maddick, is a woman who spends all her time at sales (like most women) and makes up her mind in a flash (unlike most women). As one of the very few Lady Auctioneers in Britain, she has to do both these things. Helen Maddick comes form a long line of auctioneers and she "Knocks down" valuable secondhand furniture, at a Knightsbridge saleroom. Mrs. Maddick says that one of the first requirements of an auctioneer is a strong voice. So clear is her own, that she uses no hammer to control the sales which are one of London's biggest.
