Jumping away from the barrier stalls as one horse, these four two-year-olds got off to a good start in one of the barrier trials at Moonee Valley today. The trials were in sharp contrast to the starts of the two-year-old races at Caulfield last Saturday, when horses played up and delayed the programme. Today the youngsters behaved admirably. Papworth, he won the Victoria Derby. Talking earned approx. £11,000; his wins included the AJC Warwick Stakes, Craven Plate and Rosehill Hill Stakes. S. Cash's colors: Red and white stripes, red cap.
