Bay Saint Louis, MS, May 22, 2015 - Visitors entrance to the Hancock Medical Center, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. Established in 1960 as the Hancock General hospital, the hospital eventually evolved into the Hancock Medical Center. The medical center is currently a member of the Ochsnper Health System and serves a population of over 44,000 residents in Hancock County. The medical center was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Hancock Medical Center was restored with public assistance and mitigation assistance from FEMA.

Marine Centered Medical Home Hadnot Point, a new clinic aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, will bring health care closer to approximately 7,000 Marines and Sailors with 2nd Marine Division.
