The muscle fibers of the large intestine are immature. The ascending and descending colons are short. While the transverse colon is long. The mucosa is very smooth and the haustrations appear only in the first 6 months of life. Food passes through the intestines very quickly. And have low absorption capacity. So the stools are soft. While in adults, the transit is longer and the absorption greater. As a result, the stools are harder.

Stage 0a and 0is superficial bladder cancer, urothelial and in situ carcinoma. This illustration shows a woman's bladder with, in the upper right of the bladder wall, an in situ stage 0is carcinoma. A zoom at the level of the bladder wall with all its structures allows to see the appearance of this high grade tumor, represented in white. The tumor is still limited to the layer of the most superficial cells of the wall of the bladder, it is larger than the stage 0a tumor (non-invasive papillary urothelial carcinoma).

The sound wave captured by the ear's auricle penetrates into the auditory canal, vibrates the tympanic membrane which in turn vibrates the ossicles (hammer, anvil, stirrup). The stirrup's vibrations cause movement in the oval window's membrane which produce hydraulic waves in the cochlea's perilymph, putting pressure on the endolymph within the cochlear duct, displacing the basilar membrane, pushing the stereocilia against the tectorial membrane and producing nervous impulses in the cochlear's nervous fibers. This nervous impulse progresses in the auditory nerve, then from neuron to neuron through the bone marrow until it reaches the auditory cortex in the brain which analyses the data.

They are surrounded by a whole network of alveolar blood capillaries. It is at this level that the gas exchanges during breathing are based. During inspiration, oxygen enters the lungs. It joins the bloodstream by passing from the alveoli to the alveolar blood capillaries to the cells. While the carbon dioxide released by the cells passes from the alveolar blood capillaries to the alveoli. It is expelled upon expiration.
