A road vital to the residents of the Moaa Reservation was destroyed by the September 2014 floods. A major disaster declaration was proclaimed for the state of Nevada on November 5, 2014 due to severe storms and flooding that occurred between September 7 - 9, impacting the Moaa Band of Paiutes tribal nation.
