Carbonated with extraction of the gases of about 5 days and the carbon was taken glowing in closed carbon baskets directly to the blast furnace. Except for coal, sawn wood (30-50%) was also provided. 1897-1902 managed O. Larsson Masugnriften and the newly prepared foundry, the two later years he was director of the mill.
