AQua Thruster-Demonstrator (AQT-D) is a 3U CubeSat demonstration of a water resistojet propulsion system developed by The University of Tokyo.

ISS038-E-056380 (25 Feb. 2014) --- A set of NanoRacks CubeSats is photographed by an Expedition 38 crew member after the deployment by the NanoRacks Launcher attached to the end of the Japanese robotic arm. The CubeSats program contains a variety of experiments such as Earth observations and advanced electronics testing. International Space Station solar array panels are at left. Earth's horizon and the blackness of space provide the backdrop for the scene.

. iss069e020618 (June 15, 2023) - NASA astronaut Stepehen Bowen is pictured during a spacewalk to install and deploy a roll-out solar array on the International Space Station. Bowen is attached to the Canadarm2 robotic arm during the removal of the roll-out solar array from a pallet before maneuvering it to the installation point on the Starboard-6 truss structure.

The Soyuz MS-21 crew ship is pictured attached to the Prichal docking module as the International Space Station orbited 259 miles above the Caribbean Sea in between the island nations of Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago..

Earlier the STS-128 and Expedition 20 crew concluded nine days of cooperative work onboard the shuttle and station. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 2:26 p.m. (CDT) on Sept. 8, 2009.

S132-E-009232 (21 May 2010) --- Surrounded by space station hardware, NASA astronauts Michael Good (center left) and Garrett Reisman, both STS-132 mission specialists, participate in the missions third and final session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. During the six-hour, 46-minute spacewalk, Good and Reisman completed the installation of the final two of the six new batteries for the B side of the port 6 solar array. In addition, the astronauts installed a backup ammonia jumper cable between the port 4 and 5 trusses of the station, transferred a Power and Data Grapple Fixture from the shuttle to the station, and reconfigured some tools. iss056e139451 (Aug. 15, 2018) --- Two docked Russian spacecraft on the International Space Station, the Soyuz MS-09 crew ship and the Progress 70 resupply ship, were pictured as the orbital complex flew 253 miles above the Andes mountain range and the South American continent.

Astronaut participates in extravehicular activity

S123-E-005981 (13/14 March 2008) --- Astronaut Garrett Reisman, Expedition 16 flight engineer, participates in the STS-123 mission's first scheduled session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. During the seven-hour and one-minute spacewalk, Reisman and astronaut Rick Linnehan (out of frame), STS-123 mission specialist, prepared the Japanese logistics module-pressurized section (JLP) (top left) for removal from Space Shuttle Endeavour's payload bay; opened the Centerline Berthing Camera System on top of the Harmony module; removed the Passive Common Berthing Mechanism and installed both the Orbital Replacement Unit (ORU) tool change out mechanisms on the Canadian-built Dextre robotic system, the final element of the station's Mobile Servicing System. The blackness of space and a blue and white Earth provide the backdrop for the scene.

ISS034-E-060509 (3 March 2013) --- This is one of a series of photos taken by the Expedition 34 crew members aboard the International Space Station during the March 3 approach, capture and docking of the SpaceX Dragon. Thus the spacecraft begins its scheduled three-week-long stay at the orbiting space station.

. iss069e056472 (Aug. 9, 2023) --- Roscosmos cosmonaut and Expedition 69 Flight Engineer Sergey Prokopyev is pictured in his Orlan spacesuit during a six-hour and 35-minute spacewalk to install orbital debris shields and relocate a portable workstation on the International Space Station. The European robotic arm extends from the Nauka science module to which the Prichal module and the Soyuz MS-23 crew ship are attached.

S119-E-007128 (23 March 2009) --- Astronaut Joseph Acaba, STS-119 mission specialist, participates in the mission's third scheduled session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. During the six-hour, 27-minute spacewalk, Acaba and Richard Arnold (out of frame), mission specialist, helped robotic arm operators relocate the Crew Equipment Translation Aid (CETA) cart from the Port 1 to Starboard 1 truss segment, installed a new coupler on the CETA cart, lubricated snares on the "B" end of the space station's robotic arm and performed a few "get ahead" tasks.

iss065e125924 (June 20, 2021) --- The new ISS Roll-Out Solar Array (iROSA) is deployed covering a portion of the main solar array on the International Space Station's P-6 truss structure. The iROSA and the main solar array are both connected to the truss segment's 2B power channel.

S133-E-011144 (7 March 2011) --- Backdropped against the blackness of spaec and clouds over Earth, the International Space Station is seen from Discovery as the two orbital spacecraft accomplish their relative separation on March 7 after an aggregate of 12 astronauts and cosmonauts worked together for over a week. During a post undocking fly-around, the crew members aboard the two spacecraft collected a series of photos of each others vehicle.

ISS040-E-128019 (6 Sept. 2014) --- One of the crew members of the International Space Station exposed this image of some of the orbital complex's hardware as the station was flying over the southwest Pacific in the area of New Zealand. The NanoRacks Cubesat deployer, attached to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agencys Kibo robotic arm, can be seen in upper right. Soyuz 39 TMA-13M is on Rassvet at right. The Cupola, which supports many functions, including a base for thousands of automatic as well as hand-held cameras photos, is to the right of center.

S122-E-007917 (12 Feb. 2008) --- In the grasp of the station's robotic Canadarm2, the Columbus laboratory is moved from its stowage position in Space Shuttle Atlantis' (STS-122) payload bay to the starboard side of the Harmony module of the International Space Station. The blackness of space and Earth's horizon provides the backdrop for the scene.

The Moon, with Earth's shadow draping across it during a lunar eclipse and pictured just above the horizon, is dwarfed in between U.S. and Russian International Space Station components. At left, is the U.S. Northrop Grumman Cygnus space freighter, with Russia's Rassvet module at center, and a trio of Russian station elements attached to each other, including (from bottom to top) the Soyuz MS-21 crew ship, the Prichal docking module, and the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module. The station was orbitng 273 miles above the southern Indian Ocean off the coast of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.

S135-E-011867 (19 July 2011) --- This picture of the International Space Station was photographed from the space shuttle Atlantis as the orbiting complex and the shuttle performed their relative separation in the early hours of July 19, 2011 The western Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau are visible below. Onboard the station were Russian cosmonauts Andrey Borisenko, Expedition 28 commander; Sergei Volkov and Alexander Samokutyaev, both flight engineers; Japan Aerospace Exploration astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, and NASA astronauts Mike Fossum and Ron Garan, all flight engineers. Onboard the shuttle were NASA astronauts Chris Ferguson, STS-135 commander; Doug Hurley, pilot; and Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim, both mission specialists.

ISS020-E-025116 (26 July 2009) --- A portion of the Japanese Experiment Module - Exposed Facility (JEM-EF); along with the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) or Canadarm2, and JEM Robotic Manipulator System (JEM-RMS) are seen from inside the Kibo laboratory of the International Space Station while Space Shuttle Endeavour (STS-127) remains docked with the station. The blackness of space and Earth's horizon provide the backdrop for the scene.

STS112-E-05806 (16 October 2002) --- Backdropped by a dark blue Earth, this full view of the International Space Station (ISS) was photographed by a crewmember on board the Space Shuttle Atlantis following the undocking of the two spacecraft. Atlantis pulled away from the complex at 8:13 a.m. (CDT) on October 16, 2002. The newly added Starboard One (S1) Truss is visible in center right frame.

S122-E-008922 (15 Feb. 2008) --- Astronaut Rex Walheim, mission specialist, performs work on the outside of the Columbus laboratory, the newest piece of hardware on the International Space Station. Astronaut Stanley Love (out of frame), mission specialist, shared this final period of STS-122 extravehicular activity with Walheim.

STS088-363-023 (4-15 Dec. 1998) --- Wires and cables on the Unity module (foreground) are telltale clues that the space walking astronauts of STS-88 had performed their first extravehicular activity (EVA) when this 35mm frame was exposed from the aft windows of Endeavour. The Zarya module can be seen mated to the top end of Unity.

iss056e032835 (June 24, 2018) --- The Russian Soyuz MS-09 crew craft and the Northrop Grumman (formerly Orbital ATK) Cygnus space freighter are seen attached to the International Space Station with the orbital complex's basketball court-sized solar arrays in the lower right background. The eastern coast of Brazil is pictured in the lower left corner of the frame.

ISS026-E-028076 (18 Feb. 2011) --- In the grasp of the International Space Stations Canadarm2, the Japanese Kounotori2 H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV2) is relocated from the Harmony node nadir port to Harmonys zenith port. NASA astronaut Catherine (Cady) Coleman and European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli, both Expedition 26 flight engineers, moved the HTV2, operating the stations robotic arm from the controls inside the Cupola. A cloud-covered part of Earth and the blackness of space provide the backdrop for the scene.

ISS022-E-066403 (16 Feb. 2010) --- In the grasp of the Canadarm2, the Pressurized Mating Adapter 3 (PMA-3) is relocated from the Harmony node to the open port on the end of the newly-installed Tranquility node. NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Nicholas Patrick, both STS-130 mission specialists, operated the stations robotic arm for the move, while Jeffrey Williams, Expedition 22 commander; and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi, Expedition 22 flight engineer, dealt with latches and bolts, connecting the port to its new home. Tranquilitys Cupola is visible at top center and a docked Russian Soyuz spacecraft and space shuttle Endeavor are at right.

Earlier the STS-122 and Expedition 16 crews concluded almost nine days of cooperative work onboard the shuttle and station. S126-E-008910 (22 Nov. 2008) --- Astronaut Steve Bowen, STS-126 mission specialist, participates in the mission's third scheduled session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. During the six-hour, 57-minute spacewalk, Bowen and astronaut Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper (out of frame), mission specialist, focused their efforts on the continued cleaning of the station's starboard solar alpha rotary joint (SARJ) and the removal and replacement of trundle bearing assemblies (TBA). Bowen and Piper also cleaned the area around the SARJ's drive lock assemblies, which help the joint to rotate and lock into place.

ISS028-E-016142 (12 July 2011) --- This picture, photographed by NASA astronaut Ron Garan during the spacewalk conducted on July 12, 2011, shows the International Space Station with space shuttle Atlantis docked at the edge of the frame on the far right and a Russian Soyuz docked to Pirs, below the sun. In the foreground is the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) experiment installed during the STS-134 mission. AMS is a state-of-the-art particle physics detector designed to use the unique environment of space to advance knowledge of the universe and lead to the understanding of the universe's origin by searching for antimatter and dark matter, and measuring cosmic rays.

ISS043E080914 (04/01/2015) --- This Earth view from the International Space Station Apr. 1, 2015 (bottom left corner) is Soyuz TMA-15M which carried NASA astronaut Terry Virts, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti and Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov to the ISS back in No. 2014 and will remain until May 2015. The further one (top left corner) is Progress 57 a Russian supply spaceship which launched and docked in October last year and will undock at the end of April to return to Earth.

S117-E-08011 (19 June 2007) --- Backdropped by the blackness of space and Earth's horizon, the International Space Station moves away from the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Earlier the STS-117 and Expedition 15 crews concluded about eight days of cooperative work onboard the shuttle and station. Undocking of the two spacecraft occurred at 9:42 a.m. (CDT) on June 19, 2007. Astronaut Lee Archambault, STS-117 pilot, was at the controls for the departure and fly-around, which gave Atlantis' crew a look at the station's new expanded configuration.

iss064e027217 (Jan. 27, 2021) --- NASA spacewalker and Expedition 64 Flight Engineer Victor Glover (center right) is dwarfed by the main solar arrays on the International Space Station's far port-side truss structure as he prepares the worksite for future solar array upgrades.

S115-E-06624 (17 Sept. 2006) --- This view of the International Space Station, backdropped against a cloud-covered Earth, was taken shortly after the Space Shuttle Atlantis undocked from the orbital outpost at 7:50 a.m. (CDT). The unlinking completed six days, two hours and two minutes of joint operations with the station crew. Atlantis left the station with a new, second pair of 240-foot solar wings, attached to a new 17.5-ton section of truss with batteries, electronics and a giant rotating joint. The new solar arrays eventually will double the station's onboard power when their electrical systems are brought online during the next shuttle flight, planned for launch in December.

STS100-710-130 (29 April 2001) --- Backdropped against the blue and white Earth, the International Space Station (ISS) was photographed following separation from the Space Shuttle Endeavour. The 70mm frame was exposed by one of the STS-100 crewmembers onboard the shuttle.

ISS026-E-005993 (25 Nov. 2010) --- The Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft departs the International Space Station on Nov. 25, 2010. Onboard are three members of Expedition 25 - NASA astronaut Doug Wheelock, commander; along with NASA astronaut Shannon Walker and Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, both flight engineers. Yurchikhin, the Soyuz commander, was at the controls of the spacecraft as it undocked at 8:23 p.m. (EST) from the station's Rassvet module. ISS033-E-005112 (16 Sept. 2012) --- The Soyuz TMA-04M spacecraft departs from the International Space Station and heads toward a landing in a remote area outside of the town of Arkalyk, Kazakhstan, on Sept. 17, 2012 (Kazakhstan time). Expedition 32 Commander Gennady Padalka of Russia, NASA Flight Engineer Joe Acaba and Russian Flight Engineer Sergei Revin are returning from five months onboard the International Space Station where they served as members of the Expedition 31 and 32 crews.

S88-E-5144 (12-12-98) --- Astronaut James H. Newman, mission specialist, wraps up extravehicular activity (EVA) tasks as he and fellow mission specialist Jerry L. Ross (out of frame) approach the completion of their third and final scheduled space walk on STS-88. Newman holds onto handrails on the U.S.-built Unity connecting module (foreground). ISS030-E-175366 (28 March 2012) --- European Space Agencys Edoardo Amaldi Automated Transfer Vehicle-3 (ATV-3) docks with the International Space Station, delivering 220 pounds of oxygen, 628 pounds of water, 4.5 tons of propellant, and nearly 2.5 tons of dry cargo, including experiment hardware, spare parts, food and clothing. Docking of the two spacecraft occurred at 6:31 p.m. (EDT) on March 28, 2012.

ISS032-E-010444 (27 July 2012) --- In the grasp of the International Space Stations Canadarm2, the unpiloted Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV-3) is berthed to the Earth-facing port of the station's Harmony node. The attachment was completed at 10:34 a.m. (EDT) on July 27, 2012. Earths horizon and the blackness of space provide the backdrop for the scene.

STS113-E-05411 (2 December 2002) --- Backdropped by the blackness of space and Earths horizon, this full view of the International Space Station (ISS) was photographed by a crewmember on board the Space Shuttle Endeavour following the undocking of the two spacecraft. Endeavour pulled away from the complex at 2:05 p.m. (CST) on December 2, 2002 as the two spacecraft flew over northwestern Australia. The newly installed Port One (P1) truss now complements the Starboard One (S1) truss in center frame.

The spacecraft, filled with experiments and old supplies, can be seen in the grasp of the Space Station Remote Manipulator Systems robot arm or CanadArm2 after it was undocked from the orbital outpost.The Dragon was scheduled to make a landing in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of California, later in the day.

The two spacecraft converged at 6:36 a.m. (EDT) on July 16, 2014. Also visible in this image are the stations Cupola and the Tranquility node (top). S133-E-011159 (7 March 2011) --- Backdropped against clouds over Earth, the International Space Station is seen from Discovery as the two orbital spacecraft accomplish their relative separation on March 7 after an aggregate of 12 astronauts and cosmonauts worked together for over a week. During a post undocking fly-around, the crew members aboard the two spacecraft collected a series of photos of each others vehicle.

S134-E-009267 (20 May 2011) --- NASA astronauts Andrew Feustel (right) and Greg Chamitoff, both STS-134 mission specialists, participate in the mission's first session of extravehicular activity (EVA) as construction and maintenance continue on the International Space Station. During the six-hour, 19-minute spacewalk, Feustel and Chamitoff retrieved long-duration materials exposure experiments and installed another, installed a light on one of the stations rail line handcarts, made preparations for adding ammonia to a cooling loop and installed an antenna for the External Wireless Communication system. The newly-installed Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-2 (AMS) is at lower center frame.

Astronaut David Saint-Jacques would command the Canadarm2 to capture Dragon as astronaut Nick Hague backed him up and monitored systems.
