Reportage on the Vaccine Research Institutes (VRI) immunomonitoring platform. The Vaccine Research Institutes aim is to speed up the development of an HIV vaccine. It stems from the ANRSs (French national AIDS and hepatitis research agency) vaccine programme. Research is carried out on the mononuclear cells in the blood. The lab receives blood samples from people who have, and havent had the vaccine. Blood samples are stored at -193° in liquid nitrogen.

Several experiments were found during the search for Columbia debris. Included in the Commercial ITA Biomedical Experiments payload on mission STS-107 are urokinase cancer research, microencapsulation of drugs, the Growth of Bacterial Biofilm on Surfaces during Spaceflight (GOBBSS), and tin crystal formation. The latter was sponsored by the Pembroke Pines Charter Middle School.

PUEVIT GmbH produces the most efficient photobioreactors for the cultivation of microalgae. The aim is to revolutionise the supply of raw materials through microalgae production. Innovative technological solutions have been developed for the growth and harvesting of spirulina, chlorella and other microalgae, for example, which enable unique efficiency, unprecedented simplicity and maximum stability in what is probably the most compact tube system on the market. Raw, unprocessed spirulina is produced as a fresh, regional food under the ALGENWERK brand. The algae grow in our own facilities and are harvested and freshly packaged directly without any further processing. Kennedy Space Centers Jason Fischer holds a sample of water in the Florida spaceports Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building on Nov. 13, 2019. Two tanks of water have recently returned to Kennedy after spending the last five years on the International Space Station for an experiment to study slosh, or the movement of water, in a zero-gravity environment to help engineers predict the movement of propellant in rocket tanks. Kennedys Air and Water Revitalization lab is studying the water tanks to determine if there is, or was, any microbial growth within them. The results will help NASA determine whether clean water can be stored in space for long-duration missions, an essential component to keeping astronauts safe and healthy as the agency prepares for missions to the Moon and beyond to Mars.
