Marine Raiders with Marine Forces Special Operations Command conduct a country team meeting during RAVEN, April 22, 2022. RAVEN is a training exercise held to evaluate all aspects of a Marine Special Operations Company prior to a special operations deployment.

The 151st Air Refueling Wing and ESGR brought approximately 20 employers on an appreciation air refueling mission here on August 17, 2022. The employers, nominated by their Air National Guard employees, received a briefing and safety video prior to boarding the KC-135R.

The Nevada Air National Guard Base, Reno, Nev. played host to the Outstanding Airmen of the Year Awards Banquet on Feb. 5, 2023, which honored the previous year's exceptional Airmen. The event was attended by Airmen, their families, and friends.

Inter-American Defense College Leadership Welcomes Chiefs of Delegation and Alumni from 36, 41, 43, 46, 47, 49, 54, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 and 61 for a 60th anniversary Celebration on Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C., Oct. 7, 2022. During the celebration visitors participated in a campus tour, a Panel on Ethics and Strategic Leadership, a BBQ and an Alumni Recognition Ceremony, including the release of the 60th Anniversary Book Strengthening Strategic Leadership in the Americas.

The Fort Campbell Soldier Recovery Unit hosted music therapy partnering with Creativets out of Nashville, Tennessee. The Soldiers collaborated with singer/song writers to create songs that they then played for Soldiers and Staff of the SRU. CreatiVets goal is to offer opportunities for relief and healing for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Stephen Sullivan, the Chief Financial Officer and Director for Resources, Installations, and Materiel for the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve, participates a tour of facilities April 26, 2022, at Fort McCoy, Wis., as part of an official visit with Fort McCoy Garrison officials. Sullivan visited Fort McCoy from April 25-27 to learn more about the installation and see facilities throughout the post. The visit included an initial overview briefing by Garrison Commander Col. Michael Poss with other members of the Fort McCoy Garrison command team as well as several Fort McCoy workforce leaders and members. The visit also included tours of barracks buildings and dining facilities used for the Operation Allies Welcome mission at Fort McCoy between Aug. 15, 2021, and Feb. 15, 2022. And Sullivan received an aerial tour aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk that showed him the entire installation from north to south and in between.

Assigned as a career counselor at the 3/85th Infantry Battalion Sgt. 1st Class Sonnenfeld was thoroughly decorated for his service. The Army is indebted to Gold Star spouses as they are the legacies remain integrated in addressing the concerns of surviving spouses. The Chief of Staff of the Army meets regularly with the Army Survivor Advisory Working Group to ensure Army leaders remain integrated in addressing the concerns of surviving spouses.

Dr. Anna Holloway, a Naval History and Heritage Command historian, gives a presentation to Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4 staff members. The presentation focused on historic naval battles and highlighted how CSG 4 can apply past lessons to present and future fleet-wide training events and exercises. CSG 4 mentors, trains and assesses East Coast CSGs, amphibious ready groups, Marine expeditionary units, and independent units preparing to deploy.

(February 20, 2024) Dr. Lisa Barrett provides a presentation associated with Developing and Controlling Emotions to leadership assigned to the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment at the Wylie Center onboard Joint Base Langley Eustis. This particular presentation was part of a multi-day Commanders Huddle where regimental leadership participated in training and workshops. Dr. Barrett is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Northeastern University, where she focuses on affective science. McNair, Washington, D.C., Jan. 20, 2023. During the visit, Monseñor Cruz conducted an office call with IADC Leadership, received an IADC brief, and concluded the visit with a tour of the campus.

Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region participate in history and heritage training aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64) facilitated by Command Master Chief James Parlier, USN (Ret.). Specifically, CMC Parlier shared some of his experiences while serving as the CMC aboard USS Cole (DDG-67), which was the target of a suicide bomb in October 2000 while at anchor in Aden, Yemen. The attack claimed the lives of 17 Sailors, and wounded 59 others. The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. The event is the largest and longest running of its kind in Virginia.

Former Detachment-A Berlin veteran Master Sgt. retired Robert Bob Charest shares stories about this once classified elite unit during a Special Forces Association Convention (SFACON), where Green Berets, Soldiers and retirees attended a four-day event held from September 21-24, 2022, in the Colorado Springs area including Fort Carson. SFACON is held to honor, remember and recognize Green Berets and enablers with multiple special events, panels of speakers and Special Forces Medal of Honor guests.

Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region participate in history and heritage training aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64) facilitated by Command Master Chief James Parlier, USN (Ret.). Specifically, CMC Parlier shared some of his experiences while serving as the CMC aboard USS Cole (DDG-67), which was the target of a suicide bomb in October 2000 while at anchor in Aden, Yemen. The attack claimed the lives of 17 Sailors, and wounded 59 others. The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event.
