ASAN, Guam (Oct. 20, 2022) - Joint Region Marianas military and civilian personnel joined the island-wide Great Guam ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:20 a.m. on Oct. 20, where participants were encouraged to practice their earthquake procedures - 'Drop, Cover and Hold On'. The annual Great ShakeOut is the world's largest earthquake drill with nearly 14 million participants from across the world including Guam, Japan, Puerto Rico and many other regions.

After buying essentials at the mini-base exchange, female recruits in their first 24-hours of military training learn basic formation commands on June 14, 2006. Basic combat training is nine weeks in length and is divided into three colored phases which are red, white and blue. Soldiers in the red phase are in their first two weeks. The white phase lasts for three weeks and the blue phase completes the trainees time at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
