The multilateral training event brings together approximately 1,000 U.S. Airmen, Marines, and Sailors alongside 1,000 combined Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Air Force, and French Air and Space Force service members.  Exercises like Cope North enhance interoperability among the services and highlight their ability to conduct integrated airpower generation from dispersed locations across the Indo-Pacific Theater, demonstrating coalition airpower resilience and survivability in a contested environment.
