Medical Imaging Conditions

Medical images depicting various conditions such as urinary tract lesions, hip osteonecrosis, myeloma pleurisy, and healthy lungs.

Axial CT scans of the abdomen of a 59-year old man, showing a large solid mass on one of his kidneys (left, around five seconds in to the clip). This is indicative of a tumour caused by renal cell carcinoma, or Grawitz tumour. He had presented with abdominal pain, although in many cases this cancer develops to an advanced stage before any symptoms are evident.
