The first Cybathlon will be held in Switzerland in October 2016. It is a competition for athletes equipped with bionic devices (robotized prosthetic legs and arms, motorized wheelchairs, exoskeletons, bikes using electrical muscle stimulation and brain-computer interface races). This competition helps raise public awareness on the evolution of work on robotic assistive technology and strengthens exchanges between research teams. Among the French teams is ENS Lyon. Personnel from PEO STRIs Product Manager Medical Simulation team played a key role in the April 21 regional mass casualty emergency drill in Orlando. Working under the direction of the Central Florida Medical Disaster Coalition and alongside city and county fire and emergency response personnel, hospital employees and non-government agencies, PEO STRI medical simulation personnel operated medium and high fidelity medical patient simulators to help create casualties for the large scale exercise. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune hosted its first Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fair with the local community since 2019! NMCCL leadership and staff were excited to restart the STEM program which had been put on hold due to the pandemic.
