Detachment 101, an enigmatic Allied intelligence and special operations unit during World War II, played a pivotal role in the Burmese theater. Operating deep in the jungles of Burma, their mission was multi-faceted, encompassing guerrilla warfare, espionage, and sabotage against Japanese forces. Comprising a diverse group of individuals, from OSS agents to indigenous fighters, they effectively disrupted Japanese supply lines, gathered critical intelligence, and supported resistance movements.

Lost H-bomb recovered off Palomares, Spain. The 10-foot, silver-coated bomb had been missing for 81 days. Three bombs hit the ground contaminating 490-acres with plutonium. April 8, 1966.

The building was then fired, so that the Chinese died in the flames. The main means of this horrible crime is a certain welding, which felt so safe because of his method of intimidation of the population, that he removed in Malag when the Dutch troops occupy this city. He was imprisoned on the designation of the population so that he could not escape his court. 24 July 1947. Indonesia, Malang, Dutch East Indies

Workmen to-day were busy clearing away debris resultant from the explosion of a Japanese torpedo which wrecked ferry steamer on Sunday night. They are here seen engaged on the roof of the upper deck. The were stearing gear can be seen at the back. June 10, 1942.

Saturday evening, August 21, 1948 at approximately 10.20 pm, a freight train has been placed by sabotage of a gang in the vicinity of the railway bridge of meaning on the route between Bandoeng and Poerwakarta. The two locomotives, a passenger car and a boiler truck collapsed in an approximately 15 meter deep ravine. Five people were killed and seven injured, including the operator and two stokers. The accident that happened about five kilometers for Poerwakarta is due to the fact that the rails had broken up over great distance. Staff of the S.S. Busy with the mountains of the corpses. Bow Sheared Off By Suicide Attacks -- Twisted and jagged steel was all that was left of the bow and forward hull section of the USS Lindsey, after ship was hit by twin suicide plane attacks while operating near Mae Shima off Okinawa. Explosion of forward Magazine added to the destruction that did everything but send the courageous vessel to the bottom.
