Illinois Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Anthony Gorup of Raymond, the Noncommissioned Officer-Charge of the Illinois National Guard's Joint Operations Center, retired with almost 26 years of service on Sunday, May 15, during a ceremony on Camp Lincoln in Springfield. Crane Army and Naval Support Activity Crane recently welcomed the Indiana Department of Homeland Security District 10 conference. Norfolk (September 21, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region, receive a presentation from Museum Educator Zach Smyers of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The presentation centered around the U.S. Navys involvement in the Vietnam War, and occurred in the museums exhibit The Ten Thousand-Day War at Sea: The U.S. Navy in Vietnam, 1950-1975. The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. The event is the longest running and largest of its kind in Virginia.
