The Coronation: Re-Modeling The Imperial State Crown -- At work on the re-modeling. Mr. H. Goodship, a diamond mounter, is examining the setting for the Black Prince's diamond ruby (seen on bench - on right), swith sections of the arches of the Crown in foreground. The historic ruby was presented to the Black Prince by Pedro the Cruel in 1367 and was worn by Henry V at Agincourt.Work is now in progress on the re-modeling of the Imperial Crown of State in readiness for the Coronation on June 2nd.
