Bushey, USN (Ret.) shares some of his experiences. MCPON Bushey served as the seventh MCPON from 1988-1992. The presentation was part of the Hampton Roads Naval Museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. YOKOSUKA, Japan, (Oct. 21, 2022) Chief Hospital Corpsman Laura Valencia is pinned to the rank of chief petty officer during a chief pinning ceremony at the Fleet Theater onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). Eighteen Sailors from CFAY and tenant commands were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.

Army Community Services at Camp Darby sponsor the Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation for the year 2022 to kick off October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, spreading the message that domestic abuse is incompatible with Army Values and will not be tolerated on our installation, and to provide resources and support to victims. SAN DIEGO (Sep. 7, 2022) Sailors assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Scranton (SSN 756) are reunited with friends and family aboard Naval Base Point Loma at the conclusion of a seven-month deployment, September 7. Scranton covered nearly 50,000 nautical miles during deployment and saw port visits in Guam, Yokosuka and Okinawa.

Memphis Navy Week is one of 14 Navy Weeks in 2022, which brings a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel to a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects. Each year, the program reaches more than 140 million people -- about half the U.S. population.

Soldiers from the California National Guards San Bernadino-based 1-185th Infantry Regiment arrived home at Los Angeles International Airport today, Oct. 15, 2022, after a one-year deployment to Poland. During their deployment, the 1-185th was part of Battlegroup Poland, a NATO lead operation that enforces NATO and a multinational military presence in Northeastern Europe.
