Interacting with the young boys of the Farah City Orphanage, U.S. Army Spc. Daniel Guthrie, a member of the security force for the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), plays soccer inside the orphanage walls, Dec. 10, 2009, during an unplanned visit by the PRT to plan future projects with the orphanage staff, Farah, Afghanistan. Soon, through the efforts of the PRT Civil Affairs Team, heating supplies, a connex box for storage and winter coats will be donated to the orphanage by local Afghan contractors. This is the first ever joint endeavour with local contractors freely donating items here,” U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jeromy Shoell said. Our objective is to give as much as we can without offering monetary support.”
