Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 9, 2022) - Members of the Junior Enlisted Association (JEA) hosted an ice cream social aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), April 9, 2022. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is currently in the U.S. 2nd Fleet area of operations to conduct routine certifications and training.

YOKOSUKA, Japan (January 17, 2024) - Sailors go through the chow line at the Commodore Matthew C. Perry General Mess onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Open Galley event. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.

Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region listen as LCDR David Wood, USN (Ret.) shares some of his experiences aboard the decommissioned Iowa Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64). David served 30 years in the U.S. Navy, and rose to the enlisted rank of Senior Chief (E-8). He received his commission, and eventually retired the rank of Lieutenant Commander. The presentation was part of the Hampton Roads Naval Museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin.
