NAVAL BASE GUAM (Oct. 13, 2022) - U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia Sector Guam (USCGFMSG) Commander Capt. Nicholas R. Simmons and The Honorable Joses R. Gallen, Secretary of Justice, Federated States of Micronesia, signed an expanded shiprider agreement allowing remote coordination of authorities, the first of its kind, Oct. 13. The agreement will enable the U.S to act on behalf of the FSM to combat illicit maritime activity and to strengthen international security operations.

GREAT LAKES, Il. (June 22, 2022) Educators with Navy Talent Acquisition Group Richmond and Navy Recruiting Command tour Recruit Training Command and Naval Station Great Lakes as part of the Educator Orientation Visit (EOV) to familiarize teachers with differnt aspects of the Navy. Opened in 1911, NSGL is the Navys largest training installation and the home of the Navys only Boot Camp. Located on over 1600 acres overlooking Lake Michigan, the installation includes 1,153 buildings with 39 on the National Register of Historic Places. NSGL supports over 50 tenant commands and elements as well as over 20,000 Sailors, Marines, Soldiers, and DoD civilians who live and work on the installation.

Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.

The National Best Warrior Competition kicked off, July 24, 2022 with an opening ceremony aboard the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville, Tennessee. Fourteen National Guard Soldiers are competing in the All-Guard National Best Warrior Competition July 24-29, 2022, primarily at Camp Smyrna, Tennessee. The top Soldiers and noncommissioned officers from the New York, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Oregon, Hawaii, and Utah National Guards will compete in more than 30 events that will test their military skills, physical strength and endurance. The annual Army National Guard Best Warrior competition determines which junior enlisted Soldier and NCO from the United States of America's 54 states and territories will represent more than 330,000 guardsmen at the Army Best Warrior competition this fall.
