According to the Army fact sheet for the Black Hawk, its mission is to provide air assault, general support, aeromedical evacuation, command and control, and special operations support to combat, stability, and support operations. The UH-60 also is the Armys utility tactical transport helicopter. The versatile helicopter has enhanced the overall mobility of the Army due to dramatic improvements in troop capacity and cargo lift capability over the years as well.

Capt. Eighth Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Bill Burleson served as the keynote speaker Sept. 22, 2022, at DX Korea 2022 in Goyang, South Korea. The Defense & Security Expo Korea is a week-long land forces exposition where the latest combat equipment is displayed. The expo is at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX). Burleson discussed what the future looks like for land forces and what is required to be successful in future ground combat operations. He stressed the never-ending need to maintain readiness through training. The general and staff got to tour the expo. The event also featured a variety of Eighth Army assets to include UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, a AH-64 Apache, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, a Stryker and Paladin 155mm Howitzer. Eighth Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Bill Burleson served as the keynote speaker Sept. 22, 2022, at DX Korea 2022 in Goyang, South Korea. The Defense & Security Expo Korea is a week-long land forces exposition where the latest combat equipment is displayed. The expo is at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX). Burleson discussed what the future looks like for land forces and what is required to be successful in future ground combat operations. He stressed the never-ending need to maintain readiness through training. The general and staff got to tour the expo. The event also featured a variety of Eighth Army assets to include UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, a AH-64 Apache, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, a Stryker and Paladin 155mm Howitzer. The expo continues through Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022.
