PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 18, 2012) MH-60S helicopters from the Island Knights of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 transfer ordnance from the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during a vertical replenishment with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Amelia Earhart (T-AKE 6). George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of our allies and partners in the Asia-Pacific region.

An aircrew with the Wisconsin National Guards 1st Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment operates a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter May 18, 2022, at Fort McCoy, Wis. Members of the unit regularly complete training operations at Fort McCoy and the unit also supports numerous training events at the installation each year. According to the Army fact sheet for the Black Hawk, its mission is to provide air assault, general support, aeromedical evacuation, command and control, and special operations support to combat, stability, and support operations. The UH-60 also is the Armys utility tactical transport helicopter. The versatile helicopter has enhanced the overall mobility of the Army due to dramatic improvements in troop capacity and cargo lift capability over the years as well.

The goals for CSARTE is to create realistic combat search and rescue training with both joint and combined forces. U.S. Army UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter performs a flyover of Udairi Landing Zone in Camp Buehring, Kuwait, October 17, 2022. The Black Hawk was flown by Task Force Rough Rider pilots of 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Regiment, Assault Helicopter Battalion, attached to 36th Combat Aviation Brigade.
