The presentation was held in the Chiefs Mess aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64), and was part of the Hampton Roads Naval Museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. SILVERDALE, Wash. (Sept. 26, 2022)Marvin Frilles (center), the regional Navy Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) coordinator for Trident Refit Facility, Bangor (TRFB), speaks to TRFB command leadership during a gemba at TRFB. The NAMTS Program was established by the Chief of Naval Operations to improve battle group organic maintenance capability and material self-sufficiency. TRFB’s core mission is repairing, incrementally overhauling, and modernizing the Pacific Fleet’s ballistic missile submarine force.
