Reverend Laurie Graber and her husband Tom Graber gave a presentation as guest speakers for the event. Both Grabers discussed their ministry and the importance of Memorial Day. Were several participants in the luncheon that included special guest speakers, special prayers provided by clergy, and music to honor fallen veterans for Memorial Day. Nearly three dozen community members attended the event that also included a free lunch. The event was organized by the Fort McCoy Religious Support Office.

Conley is the course manager and creator since 1992, developed with other AFRCC SAR controllers who are experienced in the coordination of both peacetime and combat search and rescue operations. He and his team conduct the BISC nationwide to help standardize incident command training according to National SAR Plan. Stop the Bleed is a program administered by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and partners with the Department of Defense and other government organizations as an initiative to increase trauma care knowledge of the average bystander and shorten critical time gap awaiting first responders.
