In October 1940, all the Jews of Warsaw were forced to concentrate in one section of the city. On the 16th of the same month it was officially established and closed on the 31st. On April 19, 1943, a direct confrontation with the German troops began that ended with the symbolic blowing up of the great synagogue and the rest of the ghetto, which was reduced to rubble. Thousands of people perished, others were shot and the survivors sent to concentration camps.

Following the Cossack tradition of the days of Czarist Russia, the USSR army in 1939 still maintained a strong cavalry arm. This regiment, lined up in Red Square, Moscow is smartly turned out. Date: 1939

Military vehicles used during the The UK General Strike lasted nine days (May 3 to 12, 1926). The strike resulted in defeat for the unions. A long confrontation in the coal industry, with strikes and lockouts, had made no progress. To support the 800,000 striking miners the unions called out 1,750,000 workers. The government was well prepared.
