Unveiling of the monument in memory of the resistance fighter Johannes Post by his widow Dina Post-Salomons and the simultaneous name change from 'Steelsplaats Steenwijkerwold' in 'Johannes Postkazerne', in the presence of Z.K.H. Prince Bernhard. The prince inspects the honorary guard of soldiers of 43 armored brigade.

At the opening of a NATO conference, the honorary guard will be formed by the Marines Korps on the Binnenhof in The Hague. Soldier assistance upon arrival of an invited.

The Royal Navy during the Second World War The firing party from HMS COCHRANE arriving at Douglas Bank Cemetery at Rosyth. Twenty one members of the crew of the escort carrier NABOB who lost their lives when their ship was torpedoed during an attack on the TIRPITZ were buried with full naval honours.

On the quay for the sub-sea service barracks, the sub-sea service (OZD) receives a banner as appreciation for the performance delivered in the Second World War (WW2). Best of course, which is awarded by Queen Juliana, 2 promotions: South China Sea 1941-'42 and Mediterranean Sea 1941-'42. The military Willems-order 4th class (MWO4) awarded in 1947 is also confirmed. After her arrival in Den Helder, Queen Juliana inspects the honorary guard, to the left of her runs the commander of the Ozd Captain-Ter-Sea (KTZ) C.E. Wolving.
