Nazi war Criminals Released From Prison -- Nazi war criminals are seen as they were released from Landsberg prison, Bavaria, Aug. 25. They are shiedding their faces with packages and hats.Friedrich Flick, prominent steel magnate of the Hitler era, and 18 other former Nazis were released form the Landsberg war crimes prison on Aug. 25. They were freed for good conduct after serving two-thirds of their seven year sentences. Others who won their freedom included Otto Dierich, 50, former Hitler press chief, Fritz ter mer, former director of the I.G. Addressing a "Winter Sales Conference" held under the auspices of Mosley Publications, Ltd., at memorial Hall, Faringdon-road, E. C., Sir Oswald contended that the U.S.A. "was facing Russian Communism across the prostrate body of Britain in a struggle to preserve the remnants of Western civilization". November 15, 1947.

On August 23, 1954, the KLM DC-6B will disappear "Willem Bontekoe", coming from Shannon, shortly before the approach to Schiphol, at Egmond aan Zee in the opposite flight direction in the waves of the North Sea. All passengers are killed. The accident is never clarified. The Royal Navy brings fished wrecks and possessions ashore. Part of object series AVDKM 540626 up to 540628.
