Our theme for this years symposium is ADA for Army 2030 - Enabling the Maneuver Commander. This theme originates from Air Defenses significant growth and modernization efforts to provide additional capability and capacity to the operational force. Invited speakers include senior leaders of the Army with vast AMD experience to include General James Dickinson, LTG Daniel Karbler, MG Sean Gainey, and the AAMDC Commanders. Additionally, LTG Donahue will provide a Corps Commander's perspective of what capabilities are required from Air Defense Artillery to enable the maneuver force. These discussions will aid in the development of the AMD force for the Army of 2030.

Senior Master Sgt. Richard Bailey, 117th Air Refueling Wing, Emergency Manager, retires after 36 years of service at Sumpter Smith Joint National Guard Base, Ala. May 15, 2022. Bailey started his career in Communications and for the past 14 years served as the Emergency Manager for the Civil Engineering squadron. Symposium Saturday This week our Iron Eagles public affairs team attended the annual public affairs symposium in Wiesbaden, Germany. For A Year of Lessons Learned there they heard from keynote speakers such as Former USAREUR Commander Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Ben Hodges, DCG for USAREUR-AF Lt. Gen. Andrew Rohling, and Army Chief of Public Affairs Maj. Gen. John Rafferty. Throughout the symposium the teams spoke on many topics covering everything from Russia/Ukraine to the 2023 communication strategy.
