Over 70 wounded, ill and injured Soldiers are training in a series of athletic events including archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, powerlifting, track, field, rowing, and wheelchair basketball. The Adaptive Sports Camp celebrates wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers' ability to recover and overcome. The Army holds qualifying trials for Active Duty, wounded, ill or injured Soldiers to assess and select athletes for competition in the DoD Warrior Games Challenge. This year, the DoD Warrior Games Challenge takes place in June 2023 at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California.

FARGO, N.D. (July 24, 2018) Navy Diver 2nd Class Joseph Sarge, from Redding, Pa., assigned to Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, talks to children in the YMCA and local Boys & Girls Clubs while wearing a bomb disposal suit at Island Park in Fargo, N.D., during Fargo-Moorhead Metro Navy Week. GREAT LAKES, Ill. (June 15, 2022) Nine Derby Day racers from commands aboard Naval Station Great Lakes were lined up at Galley 535 for judging ahead of the Derby Day race event at Ziegemeier Street hill on main side on June 16. Capt. Jason J. Williamson, NSGL commanding officer, and CMC Anthony Corey, NSGL command master chief, judged the racers. Galley 535 served up Take Me Out to the Ballgame, a baseball-themed meal, to around 3,000 Sailors. Opened in 1911, NSGL is the Navys largest training installation and the home of the Navys only Boot Camp. Located on over 1600 acres overlooking Lake Michigan, the installation includes 1,153 buildings with 39 on the National Register of Historic Places. NSGL supports over 50 tenant commands and elements as well as over 20,000 Sailors, Marines, Soldiers, and DoD civilians who live and work on the installation.

Survivor Outreach Services visited Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations, Aug. 4, 2022, on their cross-country mission from Oregon to Arlington National Cemetery. Their stop in Delaware was part of a 30-day journey to Arlington, visiting with Gold Star families along the way. Before their orientation, the group held a torch ceremony outside AFMAO to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It was our honor to partner with this important organization to share our mission and our Airmen's stories.

The Ohio National Guard, Sgt. 1st Class Daniel B. Crabtree Special Forces Facility officially unveiled a memorial for SFC Crabtree, October 15, 2022, at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, Ohio. Crabtree was killed in 2006 when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle during his deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In early April, cadets from the Bronco Battalion of Boise State University gathered on Gowen Field to complete the Army Combat Fitness Test. As cadets run around the track to finish up the Army Combat Fitness Test, fellow cadets who completed the run shout encouragement to those still running.The Spring Semester of 2022 is nearing completion and the cadets of the Boise State University Army ROTC Bronco Battalion remained active through April as they marched toward the finish line. Cadets completed the Army Combat Fitness Test, a 12 and 8 mile Ruck March along the City of Boise Green Belt Trail, and a personal development workshop on establishing financial stability. Several cadets will receive their commission as 2Lt.s In the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard on May 6, 2022, and graduate the following day, May 7, 2022.

PENSACOLA, Fla. (Aug. 26, 2012) Students at Naval Aviation Schools Command at Naval Air Station Pensacola carry sandbags in preparation for Tropical Storm Isaac. The storm is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast late Tuesday evening. The last major storm to affect Northwest Florida was Hurricane Dennis, a category three hurricane, which made landfall near Pensacola July 10, 2005.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Commander Chris Ferguson speaks with media at the conclusion of the crew's M113 armored personnel carrier training at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. An M113 is kept at the foot of the launch pad in case an emergency exit from the launch pad is needed and every shuttle crew is trained on driving the vehicle before launch. The STS-135 crew is at Kennedy to participate in a launch countdown dress rehearsal called the Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT) and related training. Atlantis and its crew are targeted to lift off July 8, taking with them the Raffaello multi-purpose logistics module packed with supplies and spare parts to the International Space Station. The STS-135 mission also will fly a system to investigate the potential for robotically refueling existing satellites and return a failed ammonia pump module to help NASA better understand the failure mechanism and improve pump designs for future systems. STS-135 will be the 33rd flight
