Twenty Minnesota National Guard, four Croatian, and three Canadian Soldiers are competing in Minnesotas Best Warrior Competition March 29 - April 1, 2023, at Camp Ripley, near Little Falls, Minnesota. The annual competition tests the military skills, physical strength and endurance of the top Soldiers and noncommissioned officers nominated by units across the state. This year two of Minnesotas longstanding partner nations, Croatia and Canada, have sent competitors to participate. Minnesotas winners will move on to compete against the best Soldiers and noncommissioned officers from multiple states at the Region IV Best Warrior Competition hosted by the Ohio National Guard in May.

The 35th Corps Signal Brigade hosted an uncasing ceremony at Fort Bragg N.C. on Oct. 14 2022. The ceremony was a celebration to mark the return of the 35th Corps Signal Brigade to its home station. The brigade was activated on Jan. 11, 1943 and spent 40 years at Fort Bragg, before relocating to Fort Gordon, Georgia on Aug. 23, 2007. Now, after spending 15 years at Fort Gordon, the 35th CSB is returning home to Fort Bragg to enhance mission planning, and be in closer proximity to its XVIII Airborne Corps clients and all of its communication systems. Hudson Barnes, a tactical air operations/ air defense systems technician with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, establishes communications with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group at a Sensing Expeditionary Advanced Base (EAB), Sept. 3. A Sensing EAB provides amplified information in support of surveillance, reconnaissance, and fires technologies, in order to expand maritime domain awareness and extend the reach of amphibious capabilities. The MKI ARG, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), is underway conducting integrated training operations with the 13th MEU in the U.S. 3rd Fleet to prepare for an upcoming deployment.
