In 1927 gifts the sagging (wooden) floors From the Westeljke courtyard so many problems that a concrete floor has been deposited. A layer of basement (2.25m height) and an elevated exhibition floor became. With half-bright walls, three rooms were furnished in the courtyard, while the original facades of the courtyard were extracted by a relatively low ring wall. In 1929 the courtyard was arranged for temporary exhibition, for which the walls have been painted, radiators have been moved, the oak windows and arc fields have been cleaned, lacquered and geölied, linoleum laid. The space was then redesigned to the "Rijksmuseum for sculpture and arts and crafts", where the 17th-century interiors were transferred. The work was completed at the end of December 1932.
