Winter; Hiems; The four seasons. The god of the wind, Aeolus, sits on a cloud with a bald branch in his hand and is a symbol for the winter. He is surrounded by three personified months. One holds a horn of plenty filled with carrots, a second carries an olive branch with itself and has already hidden in its cloak. The head of the third month is covered with a fur hat. The print is part of a four-part series of prints over the four seasons.
