Synagogue memorial in Fürth, Bavaria The synagog monument has been in the Eleitgasse since 1986. The inauguration took place on June 26, 1986. It is reminiscent of the school yard, the old center of the traditional and important Jewish community of Fürth. It was created by the Japanese artist Kunihiko Kato living in Fürth. The synagog monument reminds of the eternal light in a synagogue with the small flames, with the big ones of the Menora. As a symbol of life, the seven seeds in the Schoten fruit should express the hope of new life of the Jewish people to the Holocaust. At the foot of the monument there are sets from Psalm 79: Etern.
