HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Sep. 10, 2022) - The Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) color guard parades the colors during the Pacific Partnership 2022 (PP22) Solomon Islands closing ceremony aboard Mercy. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations. JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (Nov. 16, 2012) A Sailor assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) salutes the ensign as she departs the ship at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. BOSTON (Jul. 21, 2022) Airman Megan Kearns bids farewell to the officers and crew after completing a successful, 2-year tour aboard USS Constitution, July 21. USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents. The ship earned the nickname of Old Ironsides during the war of 1812 when British cannonballs were seen bouncing off the ships wooden hull.

NAVAL BASE GUAM (May 26, 2022) - Deputy Commander for Pacific Partnership 2022, Capt. Charles Maynard, Royal Navy, speaks to reporters during a press conference following the arrival of the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), May 26. Mercy is en route for Pacific Partnership 2022, which is now in its 17th year and is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific region. The Pacific Partnership 2022 team will work with host nation counterpart and regional partners to provide tailored medical, dental, and veterinary care, and conduct bilateral engineering civic actions, and exchange information related to disaster response procedures. The port stop at NBG will provide the crew time for rest and relaxation, conduct mission preparations, perform routine maintenance, and load additional supplies onto the ship.
