Demobilization of British Service Personnel in the Far East Captain S J Allen of the 3rd Madras Regiment boards the troopship EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA at No.2 Dock, Singapore on his departure for the United Kingdom and demobilisation.

Prince Bernhard, in his position as Inspector General of the Armed Forces (IGK) and in the Uniform of Lieutenant Admiral (LTADM), visit the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM) at the Heijplaat in Rotterdam. The Royal Navy during the Second World War A flotilla of Germans fleeing from the 1st and 8th Armies, found nearly twenty miles out to sea off Cape Bon, Tunisia, were rounded up by the Royal Navy. Here German prisoners are sitting relaxing on the quarterdeck of HMS JERVIS. All the prisoners are German and all except two are anti-aircraft gunners who were bombed out of their gun sites.

The Army Trains Its Own Port Workers -- One of the manifold tasks of the Army is the training of men to handle the many different types of cargo so necessary for the upkeep of forces overseas. This was previously accomplished by the use of the s.s. Flaminian, but now an almost new and more modern vessel, Empire Stevedore, is at the disposal of the Transportation Centre of the Royal Engineers K.T.3. (Krieg Transporter) was built and launched for the German Navy at Hamburg in 1942. After capture by the British Navy in 1945, she was acquired by the War Office and after refitting, is now used as a stevedore training unit at Marchwood, Southampton, where both Regular and National Servicemen are trained in the knacks od safe stowage of cargo. November 1, 1951.

Employment of Hr.Ms. Karel Doorman (1946-1948). The British flag (Union Jack) is ironed and the Dutch Prinsengeus is hoisted. Hr.ms. Karel Doorman, the former British flight campship HMS Nairana, was handed out by the Royal Navy on the Royal Navy.

The Royal Navy during the Second World War Some of the survivors of U 95, leaving the Dutch submarine O 21 along a gang-plank at Gibraltar for a prison camp. Whilst cooperating with the Royal Navy, O 21 had sunk U 95 in the Mediterranean on the night of the 28 November 1941. There were 12 survivors including the commander Kapitan Leutnant Schreiber, three other officers and eight ratings.
