Crewmen Battle Flames on Saratoga -- Firefighting parties battle the flames on the flight deck of the carrier Saratoga, after she had been hit on Feb. 21 while operating off Iwo Jima. The vessel had fought through three years and three months without suffering an enemy bomb hit. She was hit seven times by the Japs, but managed to return to the Puget Sound Navy Yard, at Bremerton, Wash., under her own power.
