Gettysburg, part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, supporting theater security cooperation efforts and supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Blue Ridge is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations strengthening and fostering relationships within the Indo-Asia-Pacific.

Military Sealift Command Far East ensures approximately 50 ships in the Indo-Pacific region, including Tippecanoe, are manned, trained and equipped to deliver essential supplies, fuel, cargo, and equipment to warfighters, both at sea and on shore. PACIFIC OCEAN (July 26, 2018) International Navy ships assemble for a photo exercise off the coast of Hawaii during the Rim of Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) 2018, on July 26. Twenty-six nations, more than 45 ships and submarines, about 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea-lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2018 is the 26th exercise in the series that began in 1971.

SOUTH CHINA SEA (Oct. 29, 2019) The Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Millinocket (T-EPF 3), the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Montgomery (LCS 8) and an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Wildcards of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 assemble in formation for a photo exercise in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Brunei.
