The first completely streamlined heavy bomb to be used during the war is the 12,000lb "Tallboy" bomb of the R.A.F. the bomb has great penetrative powers with tremendous blast effect. The overall length of the tail unit is 11 feet, half the length of the complete missile. The streamlined fins impart spin which adds to aiming accuracy and penetration.
