Visit of Secretary Dirk Kempthorne and aides to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, for touring of the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital, University of Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center, and scenic locales, as well as discussions with National Park Service personnel and Virgin Islands officials

Visit of Secretary Dirk Kempthorne to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge near Commerce City, Colorado to participate in ceremonies marking the expansion of the Refuge through transfer of more than 7,000 acres of land from the U.S. Army to the Fish and Widlife Service. Joining Secretary Kempthorne at the events were Colorado Governor Bill Owens, members of Colorado's Congressional delegation, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen Johnson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Tad Davis, and representatives from the Fish and Wildlife Service, Shell Oil Company, and other organizations.
