Earl Beatty's Name Is Cleared - The summons for assult brought against 49 year old Earl Beatty by a 28 year old former nurse, Mrs. Margaret Evans was dismissed at Bow Street Magistrates Court yesterday. Mrs. Evans all erred that she was pushed in the chest by Lord Beatty when they met on the steps of his solicitors office in the Strand, London, last April. Lord Beatty (pictured here) denied yesterday that-he had ever seen Mrs. Evans before. Mrs. Evans agreed she had written "scores of letters" to Lord Beatty and that" in November 1947 she was committed to prison for 28 days for disobeying an order not to molest or annoy him.
