Since mid-June, a 9-strong team from the Saxony State Office for Archaeology has been investigating the areas next to the demolished Robotron building that remained undeveloped after 1945. This measure has become necessary because a new residential area with underground car parks is being built here and the construction work for the new buildings would irretrievably destroy the archaeology still preserved in the ground.
