The company owned the first steam sugar refinery to the Lijnbaansgracht in Amsterdam. On January 8, 1834 they were caught using a balance sheet of which an arm was extended. Illustration of the 1889, Fête des Vignerons (Winegrowers Festival); is a traditional celebration held five times a century in Vevey, Switzerland. It has been organized by the Brotherhood of Winegrowers of Vevey since 1797. The committee is free to choose the time intervals between parties, the maximum being five times per century. Until now, the interval between two parties has varied between 14 and 28 years. The next edition will take place in 2019, 20 years after the previous one (1999); . The show pays tribute to the world of wine, several performances take place on the Market Square along the shores of Lake Geneva.
