A forestry mill operated by the 43rd Company, 20th Engineers, Epinal District in Bagney, France during World War I. This mill opened in August 1918 and set records for production. It could cut 53,372 Board Measure (B.M.) in 10 hours, 102,040 B.M. in 20 hours, 988,430 B.M. in 15 days, and 1,673,130 B.M. in 30 days. The mill had a capacity of 20,000 feet and produced 1,153 ties in 10 hours. The image shows logs being transported into the mill.
