Travel album with photos of seasons in Tunis and Tunesia, diverse manufacturers, c. 1860 - c. 1900 scrapbook Photo album in red leather band with the title 'Tunis' golden in relief on the frontplat. The front and back are decorated with a framework of geometric and leaf motifs in relief. The bracts have a flower and leaf motif in brown and red. The album contains 26 sheets of gold on cut with 24 albumin prints and 18 light prints of sights in Tunis and Tunisia. This includes city, street and market views, portraits and recordings of mosques and palaces. The sticker of the Amsterdam office bookstore Albracht & Co. Photo album with recordings of the World Exhibition of 1900 in Paris, Neurdein Frères, 1900 scrapbook Photo album in red band. On the frontplat an image of a radiant sun and a tree, the title and name of the publisher. On the back (below) the name of the photographers and again the title. The bracts have a geometric motif in gold and brown. The album contains eighteen thick sheets with gold on cut on which a total of 36 prints are stuck. They were made during the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris. The Grand and the Petit Palais, the Pont Alexandre-III Pont, the Avenue des Palais, the Esplanade of Invalides, the Palais des Nations (country pavilions) on the Rue des Nations, the Palais des Machines, The Palais du Trocadéro, the Parc du Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. The moving treadmills with which visitors were transported on the exhibition site, a novelty at the time, are also discussed.
