Francesco include its polygonal apse that faces the Piazza della Liberta, the facade, immured fragments of gothic architectural sculpture, and views of the arcaded cloister. Interior views of the church reveal its baroque remodelling. Most views are of frescoes from the gothic chapel (14th century) and various baroque altars. Also included are views of two organs, confessionals, choirstalls, a crucifix and various paintings in the Sacristy. The town of Pomata, situated above Lake Titicaca in the highlands of Peru, was once a popular Christian pilgrimage shrine. In this painting, Our Lady of Pomata is depicted as a statue--a carved figure crowned and dressed in lavish garments and adorned with precious materials--that stood on the side altar of the parish church. This type of iconic image, found throughout Latin America, is known as a statue painting. A rosary encircles the hands of the Virgin, who holds a tiny doll-like Child Jesus, also crowned and finely dressed. Pearls were among the sensational finds of the Spanish in the New World, and swags of them, caught with huge rosettes, adorn the figure. Indigenous traditions gave rise to distinctly Spanish American iterations of Catholic faith. In the stories of local cults, Christianized Indians figure prominently as witnesses to miraculous apparitions of the Virgin Mary and demonstrations of her healing powers. This painting shows a statue of Our Lady of Cocharcas, whose cult following developed after Sebastián Quimichi, a young Indian, made a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Copacabana. He purchased a replica of the miraculous statue and returned to his hometown of Cocharcas, where it was the source of miracles and developed a cult following as Our Lady of Cocharcas. Abruzzo L'Aquila San Vittorino Catacomb of S. Vittorino. Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 Six prints show an altar and frescoes from the catacomb. Negatives show these same views as well as other tombs, frescoes, sculpture and fragments thereof. There is extensive coverage of the martyr Vittorino's tomb; an inscription from the tomb includes the name of the bishop Quodvultdeus. German-born photographer and scholar Max Hutzel (1911-1988) photographed in Italy from the early 1960s until his death. The result of this project, referred to by Hutzel as Foto Arte Minore, is thorough documentation of art historical development in Italy up to the 18th century, including objects of the Etruscans and the Romans, as well as early Medieval, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Images are organized by geographic region in Italy, then by province, city, site complex and monument.

Most views focus on the interior decoration by Andrea and Giovanni della Robbia: the dossal in the first altar to the right depicts the penitent St. Jerome, the Coronation of the Virgin, and the Stigmatization of St. Francis; the pulpit depicts the Last Supper, the Resurrection, and the Ascension. Other della Robbia terracottas show the Assumption of the Virgin among angels and the Baptism of Christ. Coverage includes the very Mannerist main altarpiece, an icon of the Virgin and Child (engaged in close eye contact) set in an aedicule, a polychrome statue of St. Anthony Abbot, several crucifixes and a baptismal font. Tomb of Guillaume I Count de Joigny (1160 - 1220) at the Abbey of Dilo. The Abbey of Our Lady of Dilo, was founded in 1132 and enriched by numerous princely donations. The monks there developed the exploitation of the iron and the iron and steel industry. During his exile in France in Pontigny, Thomas Becket (Saint Thomas of Canterbury) stayed in Dilo, where he dedicated the church. The abbey was founded in 1132 on the site of an old Roman forge. Joigny is a commune in the Yonne department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comte in north-central France.
