Airmen assigned to the 178th Wing in Springfield, Ohio partnered with the Cincinnati Fire Department to demonstrate their water rescue capabilities Sept. 13, 2022 for a visiting  delegation of Serbians. The Serbian delegation toured numerous fire departments in the area to learn how to best establish a volunteer firefighter program in their country.

15AUG2022, SUITLAND, MDU.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography (Naval Oceanography) representation from U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC) were part of personnel aboard the USCGC Healy (WAGB-20) to successfully deploy Sofar Ocean spotter-buoys during its patrol to the North Pole, this Summer. Currently, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO2) Mike Latin, Operations Officer at USNIC is deployed onboard the Healyand will oversee execution of the buoys deployment. The first buoy was successfully deployed in early August, and the final buoy will deploy later in the month.

During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - Emergency crews leave the scene after a helicopter removed rescued” astronauts from the scene.  They are taking part in a Mode VII” emergency landing simulation at Kennedy Space Center, in order to exercise emergency preparedness personnel, equipment and facilities in rescuing astronauts from a downed orbiter and providing immediate medical attention.  This simulation presents an orbiter that has crashed short of the Shuttle Landing Facility in a wooded area 2-1/2 miles south of Runway 33.  Emergency crews are responding to the volunteer astronauts” simulating various injuries inside an orbiter crew compartment mock-up.  Rescuers must remove the crew, provide triage and transport to hospitals those who need further treatment.  Local hospitals are participating in the exercise.
