'Missing' Ketch Found In Cavern At Portland Bill -- The reliance lodged bow first in the cavern under the cliffs near Portland Bill to-day (Saturday).The ketch 'Reliance', for which look-out has been kept all round the coast since she was reported missing from Fleetwood, Lancashire, has now been found on the rocks near Portland Bill, Dorset.The vessel is jammed fast in a cavern 70ft. deep.The 'Reliance' left Fleetwood more than a fortnight ago, with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davison on board, after two years spent on preparing her for a trip to an 'island paradise' in the South Seas. Titanic Survivors. How the Titanic Survivors Were Picked up by the Carpathia. Photograph taken by Mr J W Barker of a lifeboat containing passengers from the Titanic, as it approaches the Carpathia. Carpathia was sailing from New York City to Rijeka on the night of Sunday, 14 April 1912. The captain, Arthur Henry Rostron, was asleep in his cabin when wireless operator Harold Cottam burst in and told him of Titanic's distress signal. Mobile Boarding Team, Motorboat Safety. Washington, D.C.-- Marvin R. Mangum, Engineman 2nd class, of a Coast Guard Mobile Boarding Team, examines the masthead running light on the 30-foot cabin cruiser. While doing so he shows consideration for the boat owner's property by wearing soft shoes so as not to mar the cabin roof while standing on it. Regulations require class "2" motorboats of 26 ft. to less than 40 ft. in length to carry running lights in conformance with inland and international rules of the road when navigated between sunset and sunrise.

Malmö Shipyard History Association has received the album of a son of Nils Holmström.Peter Skanze from the association has in contacts with the Historical Museum's manager Hans-Lennart Ohlsson expressed that the gift is aimed at the Maritime History Museum, while in the donation letter a "desire to the album ends up at any museum with a focus on our marine heritage".At sea-historical, there is already an extensive collection of photographs from Kockum's MV.Since the images show the warships fit the album better in Marine Museum Karlskrona's gathering area and was therefore added to Marine Museum's collections.

Jet-Boat Dives In Lake During Trial - The White Hawk being hauled to the shore after the mishap. Mr. Frank Hanning-Lee is seated on right.The £14,000 jet-propelled speed boat White Hawk, in which Mr. Frank Hanning-Lee, on naval officer, of Chelsea, London, and his wife Stella hope to rapture the the world's water speed record for Britain, dived briefly under the surface of the lake in a mishap during a trial run on Windermera, Mr. Hanning-Lee was piloting the boat when it was struck by side-wash from a pleasure boat. Water entered the air intake and the White Hawk dived nose first, filling with water. The cockpit went under water but the craft soon reappeared. Pleasure boats dashed to the assistance of White Hawk, which was towed 500 yards to the shore to be beached only superficial damage, and Mr. Hanning-Lee expects that the hull will have dried out in a couple of days.It is hoped that the record attempt may be made in two weeks' time over a measured mile on lake Windermere.The pr
