Runners begin their race during the 47th Marine Corps Marathon in Arlington, Virginia, Oct. 30, 2022. Organized by the men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the 47th MCM is the first live event since 2019. The 26.2 mile race drew roughly 20,000 participants, more than 2,200 Marines and Sailors, and 1,500 civilian volunteers. Known as "The People's Marathon," there is no prize money for top finishers; all runners were celebrated for their honor, courage, and commitment.

Runners of all levels participated in the MCM10K; this particular course provided MCM hand-cyclists left-hand lanes with police escorts.

Members of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Alaska District tied up their laces and ran two miles around their headquarters campus on June 14 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Capt. Runners honored the victims who lost their lives from the attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001 during the Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads MWR Remembrance Run at the Headquarters Annex Sept. 9. Soldiers and civilians from the 97th Military Police Battalion, Fort Riley DES and supporters participate in the 41st annual Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 14 in Junction City, Kansas . Every year, to raise awareness for Special Olympics Kansas, law enforcement officers from more than 97 agencies all over Kansas participate in this event. Runners took over at the Ogden Gate where Fort Riley Police Chief William Paskow received the torch from Riley County Police Department, and then passed the flame on to Junction City Police Chief John Lamb at Grant Gate.

Following a formal Patriot Day ceremony, dozens of U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground personnel participated in a five kilometer remembrance walk-run on September 8, 2022.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2012) Sailors assigned to Naval Hospital Jacksonville and Naval Air Station Jacksonville, run in formation during the 11th anniversary 9/11 Memorial 5K run. Sailors, fire fighters and civilians attended the memorial in honor of the individuals that lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

After the race was complete, the Airmen attended different sessions held around the base that focused on the five pillars of resiliency.

Soldiers from the 503rd Military Police Battalion ran through Fort Bragg with the Flame of Hope as part of the 2022 Law Enforcement Torch Run during the morning of May 23. The torch run has more than 110,000 law enforcement members in all 50 U.S. States, 12 Canadian provinces and territories and 47 other countries, who contribute to LETR efforts annually as Guardians of the Flame.
