Life as a city with three walled sites, with a temple in the middle. At the outer gate the souls of children are waiting, ready to enter adult life. Before entering, they get something to drink from temptation (seductio), which makes them ignorant. The first walled site shows all kinds of transfers and distractions, such as prejudice (opinion), desire (cupiduas), doubt (error) and ignorance (ignorantia). They prevent the youthful person from penetrating further to the next circle.
