Famous German cyclists, Albert Richter the world's amateur champion and Tony Merkens, were successful against the English riders J.E. Sibbit, the national sprint champion and D.S. Horn, N.C.U.26 miles title holder, at the meeting of cycling champions at Herne Hill.
